While lab work, imaging, and prescriptions are not included in the monthly fee, patients have flexibility and choice:
You can use your insurance for labs, imaging, and pharmacy costs if you choose to,

We also help coordinate care with hospitalists if you’re ever admitted, ensuring communication and continuity through your recovery.
Not Insurance — But Better Everyday Care
Your DPC membership is not health insurance, and it’s not meant to replace it. We recommend maintaining a high-deductible insurance plan or HSA for major or catastrophic events.
However, for everyday healthcare, wellness visits, acute illness, medication management, and chronic condition support, Direct Primary Care is the most affordable, convenient, and personalized option available.
For those with insurance, we’ll continue to coordinate referrals within your plan. For uninsured patients, we’ve partnered with local specialists who offer discounted pricing for Pineywoods members.
